General Manager Northern Railway Reviewed The Progress Of Ongoing Works At Shakurbasti Railway Station

General Manager Northern Railway visited Shakurbasti railway station o­n 20.04.2015  to review the progress of o­ngoing sanctioned works. The two major sanctioned works pertain to:
1.Setting up of a new coaching terminal along with maintenance facilities
2.Augmentation of platforms and other facilities at the existing Shakurbasti railway station.
New station building, additional platforms and washing lines are planned in phases as a part of new project. In order to set up the new coaching terminal, the HPCL siding, and NDPL transmission line will need to be shifted along with some portion of the land leased to Ordinance Depot will have to be taken back by the Railways.
            General Manager Northern Railway reviewed the progress of works with Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), Chief Operations Manager, Principle Chief Engineer, Chief Mechanical engineer, Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi,Officers of Construction department and Branch officers of Delhi Division. He directed all concerned to expedite the process of getting the land of the railways back so as to fast track the project. He instructed the officers to commission the Ist Phase of the washing line for the coach maintenance facilities within the next 3 months and the new station building with reservation counters and new Foot-Over-Bridge (FOB) to be commissioned within o­ne month.
