THE FOUNDATION STONE FOR UPGRADING GOREGAON ROAD HALT STATION INTO A CROSSING STATION WITH BETTER PASSENGER AMENITIES

Taking into account the inconvenience and hardships being faced by the people staying in and around Goregaon in Raigad District, Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu has laid the Foundation Stone for upgrading Goregaon Road Halt Station into a Crossing Station for their comfortable journey on Konkan Railway Route.

This Goregaon Road Halt Station is situated between Mangaon and Veer stations of Konkan Railway at KM 40/35 – 41/46 in Raigad District and will be constructed as a full fledged Crossing Station  at a total cost of ` 12.12 Cr. The upgraded Goregaon Road Station will be provided with various additional passenger amenities such as waiting hall, current ticket booking counter, covered platform shelter etc which are not presently.

Konkan Railway always believes in providing better passenger amenities to its esteemed passengers for their comfortable, safe and happy journey.

This will also improve operations and throughput on Konkan Railway as the Block Section comprising of 16.58 Kms between Mangaon & Veer will be split into two parts.
