A . INTRODUCTION OF NEW TRAINS



1.Latur – Yeshwantpur Express (3 days a week) w.e.f 03.02.2018



Train no 16584 Latur – Yeshwantpur Exp will leave Latur at 15.00 hrs o­n Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and will reach Yeshwantpur at 07.40 hrs next day.



Train no 16583 Yeshwantpur - Latur Exp will leave Yeshwantpur at 19.00 hrs Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and will reach Yeshwantpur at 13.05 hrs next day.



Halts: Latur Road, Bidar, Zahirabad, Vikarabad Jn, Tandur, Seram, Malkhaid Road, Chittapur, Nalwar, Yadgir, Saidapur, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Guntakal Jn, Dharmavaram Jn, Hindupur, Gauribidanur and Yelhanka Jn,

Temporary Stoppages for Trains at Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station In view of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Birthday Celebrations at Puttapathi 2017


With the view to facilitate the piligrims attending Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Birthday Celebrations at Puttaparthi, the following Express trains are provided with temporary stoppage at Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station as detailed below:-

1. Train No. 16593 H.S.Nanded – KSR Bengaluru Express will arrive/depart Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station at 00:54/00:56 hrs from 14th to 23rd November,2017.

2. Train No. 12591 Gorakhpur - Yeshvantapur Express will arrive/depart Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station at 01:23/01:25 hrs on 20th November,2017 (Monday).

3. Train No. 16531 Ajmeer – KSR Bengaluru Express will arrive/depart Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station at 01:23/01:25 hrs on 15th and 22nd November,2017 (Wednesdays).

4. Train No. 12648 H.Nizamuddin – Coimbattore Kongu Express will arrive/depart Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station at 21:18/21:20 hrs on 16th and 23rd November,2017(Thursdays).

5. Train No. 16501 Ahmedabad – Yeshvantapur Express will arrive/depart Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam Station at 01:23/01:25 hrs on 16th and 23rd November,2017(Thursdays).

Trains Diverted/ Partially Cancelled


I. Diversion of Trains via Perambur(without touching Chennai Central Station) w.e.f. 5th March,2018 until further advice:

1. Train No.22642 Shalimar – Thiruvanantapuram Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 6th March,2018.

2. Train No.22641 Thiruvanantapuram – Shalimar Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 8th March,2018.

3. Train No.22644 Patna – Ernakulam Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 8th March,2018.

4. Train No.22643 Ernakulam – Patna Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 5th March,2018.

5. Train No.15228 Muzaffarpur - Yeshvantapu Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 12th March,2018.

6. Train No.15227 Yeshvantapur – Muzaffarpur Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 7th March,2018.

7. Train No.12510 Guwhathi – Bengaluru Cantonment Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 6th March,2018.

8. Train No.12509 Bengaluru Cantonment - Guwhathi Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 7th March,2018.

9. Train No.12516 Guwahati – Thiruvanantapuram Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 7th March,2018.

10. Train No.12515 Thiruvanantapuram – Guwahati Express Train is diverted to run via Perambur Station and will not touch Chennai Central Station w.e.f 11th March,2018.

II. Diversion of Trains via Salem, Namakkal and Karur (without touching Erode) w.e.f. 6th March,2018 until further advice:

1. Train No.16734 Okha – Rameswaram Express Train is diverted to run via Salem, Namakkal and Karur and will not touch Erode Station w.e.f. 6th March, 2018.

2. Train No.16733 Rameswaram – Okha Express Train is diverted to run via Karur, Namakkal and Salem and will not touch Erode Station w.e.f 9th March,2018.

III. With a view to facilitate Bridge works in Ambala Cantt – Ludhiana section of Northern Railway, a traffic block is imposed on 4th November,2017.Consequently,the following train is diverted as detailed below:-

1. Train No.12715 Nanded – Amritsar Sachkand Express Train scheduled to depart H.S.Nanded at 09.30 hrs on 13th November,2017 is diverted to run via Chandigarh and Sanahwal stations and will not touch Rajpura, Sirhind and Khanna Stations.

IV. Due to Traffic block for 46 days for construction of washable apron at Platform I of Varanasi Station of Northern Railway, the following trains are diverted as detailed below:-

1. Train No.16360 Patna – Ernakulam Express Train scheduled to depart Patna on 7th, 14th , 21st and 28th November, 5th , 12th and 19th December,2017 is diverted to run via Mughalsarai, Chunar, Mirzapur and Allahabad stations instead of Mughalsarai, Varanasi, Manduadih, Allahabad City and Allahabad Stations.

2. Train No.16359 Ernakulam - Patna Express Train scheduled to depart Ernakulam on 4th, 11th , 18th and 25th November, 2nd, 9th and 16th December,2017 is diverted to run via Allahabad, Mirzapur, Chunar and Mughalsarai stations instead of Allahabad, Allahabad City, Manduadih, Varanasi and Mughalsarai Stations.

V. The following Trains are Partially Cancelled to facilitate engineering line block in Chennai Central – Gudur Section of Southern Railway on 4th November and 5th November,2017.

1. Train No.57240 Bitragunta – Chennai Central Passenger train scheduled to depart Bitragunta station on 4th and 5th November, 2017 is partially cancelled between Gummidipundi and Chennai Central Stations.

2. Train No.57239 Chennai Central - Gudur Passenger train scheduled to depart Chennai Central on 4th and 5th November, 2017 is partially cancelled between Chennai Central and Gummidipundi Stations.

SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN HOWRAH AND RANCHI VIA BISHNUPUR, BANKURA, ADRA & BOKARO STEEL CITY

To clear the extra rush of passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to run Tri-weekly Special trains between Howrah and Ranchi via Bishnupur-Bankura-Adra-Bokaro Steel City from 05.11.17 till further advice.

  08627 Howrah-Ranchi Special leaving Howrah at 12.50 hrs every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday will reach Ranchi at 22.10 hrs o­n the same day. In the return direction, 08628 Ranchi-Howrah Special leaving Ranchi at 05.45 hrs every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday will arrive Howrah at 15.15 hrs o­n the same day.

  The Special trains consisting of two AC Chair Car and ten General Chair Car coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Midnapur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Adra, Bhojudih, Mohuda, Chandrapura, Bokaro Steel City, Jhalda and Muri stations enroute.

Regulation of Train Services for Yard Modification & Commissioning of New Electronic Interlocking at Kharagpur Station

new electronic Interlocking system in Kharagpur yard replacing the existing facilities, a major remodelling work spanning over 16 days from 4th–19th Nov 2017 will be undertaken. The successful execution of this important safety related work will not o­nly make rail travel across Kharagpur smoother, it will also enhance safety in train operations.
ØWHY IS IT BEING DONE :-


·Replacement of old RRI which has past its date

·Installation of a failsafe, state of the art Interlocking system with both Panel and Visual Display Unit.

·Elimination of 3 Old lever operated cabins.

·Introduction of twin single line working between Kharagpur and Gokulpur.

·Connectivity of 3rd line with Kharagpur yard and Jakpur towards Howrah.

·Introduction of auto signalling system between Kharagpur & Jakpur.
ØBENEFITS TO RAILWAY OPERATIONS & TO THE PASSENGERS:-


·Enhancing the number of routes from 423 to 800 thereby increasing fluidity.

·Ease of reception of freight trains to Kharagpur Yard thereby reducing transit time.

·Quicker implementation of Accident support system by enabling direct dispatch of Accident Relief Medical train/Van and Crane.

·Better fluidity due to commissioning of auto signalling between Kharagpur–Jakpur-Kharagpur.

·Adding two Platforms at Kharagpur station thereby enhancing passenger train handling capacity.

·Enhanced passage between Kharagpur-Gokulpur thereby easing train operation o­n Kharagpur-Midnapur route.

·Faster movement from/towards Howrah due to connectivity of 3rd line with Kharagpur yard.



During the Non interlocking and Pre Non interlocking period, it will be essential to have traffic blocks in and around Kharagpur station during the entire period. In order to manage the traffic smoothly, the run of passenger carrying trains will have to be regulated during this period. This would lead to some amount of disruption in traffic which would be of minor nature o­n some days and of major nature o­n other days. The maximum work would be undertaken o­n 17th, 18th and 19th Nov 2017 leading to cancellation, short termination, regulation, diversion etc of Mail/Exp, Passenger, EMU & MEMU trains.

ØREDUCED CONNECTIVITY TO KHARAGPUR DURING COMMISIONING OF ELECTRONIC INTERLOCKING  


The regulation of trains will be as follows :-

·On 04.11.2017- Short termination of 01 Passenger train at Kharagpur.

·On 05.11.2017- Cancellation of 6 EMU & 2 MEMU services & rescheduling of 01 EMU service.

·On 06.11.2017- Short termination of 01Passenger train at Kharagpur.

·On 08.11.2017- Cancellation of 01 EMU service &Short termination of 01 EMU service at Kharagpur.

·On 09.11.2017- Cancellation of 4 EMU & 2 MEMU services, Short termination of 01 EMU service at Jakpur, Short origination of 01 EMU service from Jakpur.

·On 10.11.2017- Cancellation of 01 Special & 01 EMU service, Short termination of 01 EMU service at Kharagpur and Short origination of 01 EMU service from Kharagpur.

·On 13.11.2017 – Short termination of 01 Passenger train at Kharagpur.

·On 14.11.2017 – Cancellation of 1 Special train.



MAJOR DISRUPTION o­n THE LAST 3 DAYS OF COMMISSIONING

·On 17.11.2017 – Cancellation of 23 Mail/Express trains and 3 Special train, 12 Passenger trains, 24 MEMU, 27 EMU services. Short termination of 5 Passenger, 4 MEMU, 12 EMU and short origination of 4 Passenger, 11 EMU services. Apart from the above, 10 Mail/Express trains will be diverted via Hijli-Nimpura Through Yard bypassing Kharagpur Station

·On 18.11.2017 – Cancellation of 22 Mail/Express and 4 Special trains, 12 Passenger trains, 16 MEMU, 27 EMU services. Short termination of 1 Mail/Express, 5 Passenger, 2 MEMU & 8 EMU services. Short origination of 1 Mail/Express, 5 Passenger, 8 EMU services. Apart from the above, 11 Mail/Express trains will be diverted via Hijli-Nimpura Through Yard.
·Diversion of trains bypassing Kharagpur;


Some Mail/Express trains which run via Kharagpur and where reversal of locomotives at Kharagpur is involved will be run via Nimpura – Hijli – thereby bypassing Kharagpur. Adequate stoppage will be given to these trains at Hijli station. These trains are:

·22823/22824 Bhubaneswar – New Delhi Rajdhani Express o­n and from 17.11.2017 to 19.11.2017.

·12815/12816 Puri – New Delhi Nandan Kanan Express o­n and from 17.11.2017 to 19.11.2017.

·12875/12876 Puri – New Delhi Neelachal Express o­n and from 17.11.2017 to 19.11.2017.

·12801/12802 Puri – New Delhi Purushottam Express w.e.f. 07.11.2017 to 19.11.2017

NIGHT BLOCK ON FAST LINE & FIFTH LINE BETWEEN SANTACRUZ AND GOREGAON STATIONS DURING MIDNIGHT OF 4TH & 5TH NOVEMBER, 2017



To carry out maintenance work of track, signalling & overhead equipments, four hours jumbo block will be taken on Up fast line and fifth line between Santacruz and Goregaon stations during midnight of Saturday, 4th November, 2017 & Sunday, 5th November, 2017 from 23.30 hrs to 03.30 hrs.

During the block period, all fast line trains will run on slow lines between Goregaon and Santacruz stations and Down fifth line Mail/Express trains will run on Down fast line.
