A working model of the Metro train displaying its movements through underground, elevated and at grade corridors was unveiled at the Delhi Metro Museum at Patel Chowk Metro station today by DMRC’s Managing Director, Sh. Mangu Singh.
Apart from the introduction of this new attraction, the top ten smart card users of Delhi Metro and some active volunteers of the Metro Citizens’ Forum volunteers programme were also felicitated by the Managing Director on the occasion.
The working model of the Metro train will depict the real time operating scenario of a Metro system complete with OHE wiring, ballastless tracks etc. It has been designed meticulously to give the visitors a feel of the actual movement of a Metro train. The model is approximately 20 feet in length and will become a major attraction of the museum.
The Delhi Metro Museum today also introduced new souvenir items for sale at its souvenir counter. Attractive visiting card holders, Swiss knives, digital thermometers, key chains, table tops with metallic watches, paper weights etc have been packaged into custom designed boxes with the Delhi Metro logo for sale at the counter.
